Sirius, also called the Eastern Star, is the brightest star in the night sky.
December 24th performs a “magic” movement, aligning itself with the three stars of the belt of Orion constellation at a specific point.
These three stars (Alnitak, Alnilam and Mintaka – very similar to Menkaura, Micerino) are calls from time immemorial “the three Kings”.
The three Kings and Sirius are therefore perfectly aligned on a line that intersects the Earth in the point where the Sun will rise on the morning of december 25th, then the star Comet that followed the three Wise Men, it was clearly Sirius.
From the Solstice (in Latin Sol = Sole – Sistere = stop) in summer, another one takes place in winter interesting cosmic phenomenon.
The Sun becomes weaker and smaller and as a result the days get colder and colder and short.
The shortening of the days and the end of the crops were a symbol for the ancients and the allegory led to a process of death; it was the death of the Sun.
On December 22nd, the death of the Sun reaches its completion when precisely after being moved continuously towards the South for six months, reaches its lowest point on the horizon.
At this point an incredible thing happens.
Apparently the Sun stops moving and remains motionless for three days on 22nd, 23rd and 24th december.
During this pause, above the “head” of the Sun, during the night, the constellation of the Crux (Southern Cross, not visible in any case at our latitudes), mentioned also by Dante Alighieri (Dante’s Divine Comedy, Purgatory 22-27).
December 25th here is the miracle: the Sun (Jesus always portrayed by artists of all time with the halo/sun on the head), after having died for three days rises again and resumed his journey, this time to the north, restarting the ascent and thus announcing longer and warmer days finally, the arrival of spring.
This is what the Holy Scriptures tell us: “He was crucified, died and was buried and the third day is resurrected”.
However, the ancients did not celebrate the resurrection of the Sun on December 25th, but at the equinox of spring or easter, when the sun overcoming the malign force of darkness made it that the light overcame the darkness with days longer than the night, bringing out the strength revitalizing of the Spring.
Also the 12 Apostles are an astronomical sign linked to the 12 constellations of the zodiac, as well as Mary, mother of Jesus linked to the Constellation Virgo (Virgin) but this is another story.
